Favourite Lippies for January and February

I have not written in quite some time, and thought I would ease back into it by featuring a few of my favourite lip products that I have been using this winter.

If you know me, you know I love lipstick; the brighter the better, so I was surprised to note that 3 of the 5 items I have been wearing lately are essentially nude tones.

So without further ado, here they are in order of how often I wear them.

#1 Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Park ave Princess

I really like this product, it is moisturizing, it smells minty fresh, and it has just the right amount of colour to be my go-to everyday lipstick.

#2 Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Gloss

I am not usually one for ‘glosses’, I tend to prefer a more satin or matte finish, but this gloss is really cool, as it adjusts to your skin tone to create a lovely pinkish tone suited to your unique colouring. I keep it in my purse for those times when I just want a little bit of colour, for that ‘no makeup’ makeup look. It also smells like cupcakes, which is never a bad thing.

#3 Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands

This stuff is one of my all time favourite products. It is a perfect nude tone for me, and it is moisturizing and 100% natural. It also has a really nice satin finish. What more could a girl want?! It also has a really great price point at about $10 compared to some of the pricier lip products I have come to love.

#4 Younique Moodstruck Opulence Lipstick in Fortunate

I bought this lipstick because I was looking to jump on the brown lip trend, and this stuff did not disappoint. It is the perfect reddish brown tone. It seems to be a really great lipstick, as it wears for quite a while without having to reapply, and it doesn’t have any weird lipstick-y smell. Sometimes the smell of lip products and the taste can really bother me, but this is wonderful for those with a sensitive olfactory sense. #5 NYX Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry

I received this in my February Glam Bag and it is fabulous! It is moisturizing, it glides on nice and smooth and it has an impressive staying power. It also has a fabulous price point at $9. The colour is a deep berry tone, and I think it would look good on just about anyone.

What lip products have you been using lately? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you!
